May 2010
PFGBEST educational piece Foreign Exchange Basics won a Silver Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago in the category of Brochures, Booklets or Books.
Also in May, from the Illinois Women’s Press Association, two first place awards for PFGBEST. One was for the Foreign Exchange Basics brochure, and one was for the ad to promote the PFGBEST Research 2010 Outlook brochure. These went on to compete in the Nationals. PFGBEST won a second place for the campaign to reveal and celebrate the new green building at One Peregrine Way, the new Cedar Falls, Iowa headquarters.

Russell R. Wasendorf, Sr., Chairman and CEO of PFGBEST, was given the Patriotic Employer Award from the Iowa Area 5 group called ESGR – Employer Support of the U.S. National Guard and Reserve.
Russell R. Wasendorf, Sr. was given the 2010 Treating Capital Well Award from the Cedar Valley Alliance and the Cedar Falls Chamber of Commerce for helping to grow regional opportunities in technologies and employment through green practices and sustainability efforts.

PFGBEST was named as one of the Top 50 Brokers by Futures magazine based on CFTC data for all Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) firms in the United States. This was the 11th consecutive year PFGBEST ranked in this elite group.
October 2009
Russell R. Wasendorf, Sr., Chairman and CEO of PFGBEST, was named to the University of Northern Iowa President’s Club, Founders Society Level. He becomes a member of the UNI Board of Trustees in October 2010.
